LAVATEC to emphasize superior Equipment performance and longevity at The Clean Show

Beacon Falls, Conn. – July 30, 2025 – North American society has long embraced and treasured vintage items. You name it, from cars and clothing to coins and collectibles from the entertainment, gaming, and sports industries and others, there is market appeal for things which stand the test of time.

The same admiration applies to some remarkable equipment being employed in the commercial laundry industry. When The 2025 Clean Show is held August 23-26 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, check out the line-up in the LAVATEC booth (1303). There you will find a sparkling array of new tunnel wash systems, washer extractors, and dryers similar to machines that customers have been operating since the 1990s.

LAVATEC will demonstrate an LT60 eight compartment bottom transfer tunnel washer with 132-pound capacity per chamber; an LX-445 washer extractor with 450-pound capacity; an LP572 LAVAPress single stage extraction press which improves workflow by handling 132-pound loads using up to 40-bars of pressure; and three premium and energy efficient gas dryers: the TT745, TT757, and FL633.

On the finishing side, LAVATEC will showcase innovative equipment from VEGA Systems. As Jim Shaw, LAVATEC’s Vice President and National Account Sales Manager explains later, the four versatile machines to be displayed represent a cross-section of cost efficient systems that are designed to produce a better finished product for customers.

Customers who know best

The ability to have equipment perform impressively and reliably day-after-day for 25 years or more requires a series of events. A few LAVATEC customers who plan to attend the show understand the connection. They say it begins with having the craftsmanship to design and build a custom-made machine, and supporting it with a well-trained group of employees who run and maintain it properly.

Patrick Garcia, president and CEO of Division Laundry & Cleaners in San Antonio, Texas, knows all about the longevity of LAVATEC’s equipment.

“Back in 1995, we traveled the United States to see the tunnel washer options that were available at the time. Our general manager had been our chief engineer for 30 years, so he pointed out all the maintenance advantages and the differences in the craftsmanship between the thickness of the steel and welding,” recalled Garcia. The family owned and operated company has been in business for 86 years.

“We were impressed with the LAVATEC systems. Now, 30 years later, our 16 module LT60 with a steam heating system and the five dryers we purchased from them are still in operation. We knew by committing to having a strong maintenance program in place, it would help extend the lifecycle of the equipment.”

Metropolitan Detroit Area Hospital Services (MDAHS) became a LAVATEC customer in 2007. By upgrading their tunnel wash systems and dryers four years ago, the downtown Detroit state-of-the-art facility has vastly improved their energy usage and efficiency.

They replaced their original LT50 system with 14 compartments and 110-pound capacity, with two new LT100s. The second largest continuous tunnel washer LAVATEC manufactures (only the LT120 exceeds it at 250-pound capacity) these machines boast 220-pound capacity and 12 modules are joined on the floor by 16 TT745 natural gas dryers and the LP583 LAVASPEED extraction press. All are monitored by LAVATEC’s intelligent osLaundry data management information system.

“While I am new to this facility, I am very familiar with LAVATEC’s tunnels and dryers having managed them in two previous plants,” said Cecil Lee. A 38-year industry pro, he joined MDAHS as the general manager last November and expects his facility to process 34.9 million pounds of laundry this year.

“We are incredibly pleased with the washers’ performance and dependability. Our water usage has dropped from 1.01 gallons to 0.67 gallons per pound. This is a .3447 gallons per pound savings as we are producing greater than 34 million pounds of linen annually.

“When dryers work properly, they keep work in front of the processors during the spring, summer, fall and winter,” he continued. “The LAVATEC dryers continue to perform efficiently and, to my amazement, dry loads properly even with various degrees of dryer basket cover such as the plastic disposable under pads that were not sorted properly. We have reduced both our therms per pound and our kilowatt hours per pound.”

The Portland Hospital Service Corporation’s pair of LT70 bottom transfer tunnel wash systems in Oregon have been the very definition of “dependable” for 23 years. The 18 module, 154-pound capacity machines produce an impressive amount of washed linen annually. They also have rolled up a staggering amount of hours and are closing in on the 150,000 mark.

“From an engineering perspective, LAVATEC tunnels are very reliable and continue to meet our laundry processing needs after 23 years. Our continuous batch washers (CBW) and LAVATEC dryers handle 110,000 pounds of linen six days a week with little to no interruptions,” said chief engineer David Rowning. The hospital has served the community in the northwest region since 1970.

General manager Shawn Swingholm said the LAVATEC equipment currently operates 14 hours a day, six days of the week. Between July 2024 and July 2025, he reports the CBWs washed 34,130,540 pounds of linen, which equates to 114,104 batches divided between the two washers.

Introducing VEGA Systems Finishing Equipment

LAVATEC will showcase its new partnership with VEGA Systems by featuring flatwork equipment in booth 1303. All four machines – the VEGA TRANSFEED 3S1, VEGAFOLD 2S, VEGA MULTIFOLD SUPER 2.2 and VEGA MUTIFOLD 4S – match LAVATEC’s solid reputation for high performance, productivity and reliability.

“This equipment gives any size laundry operation the ability to improve the finishing side of their business. Each machine serves a valuable function,” said Jim Shaw, a longtime laundry industry professional who knows better than anyone. He served as the president of VEGA Systems USA for nine years before joining LAVATEC in 2023.

“For example, the VEGAFOLD 2S conserves space and sort textiles to deliver the best finished product,” continued Shaw. “While the VEGA MULTIFOLD SUPER 2.2 will process larger, full dry products with precision using positive folding functions, the VEGA TRANSFEED is designed for smaller piece feeding. It combines a system to deliver flatwork to the ironer with the flexibility to convert the processing with high production to yield a better finished product.”

A high-speed, three station feeder system capable of processing sheets, heavy duvet covers, and high quality table linens, the VEGA TRANSFEED sports a working width up to 157-inches wide. It offers up to four large-piece adjusted height clipping stations, a combination of one or two feeding lanes for large pieces, and a movable feeding bed with multiple lanes for manual feeding.

The VEGAFOLD 2S is built to accommodate a wider cross-fold section. It can process large pieces with only two lateral folds and has a third lateral fold option. It saves valuable floor space since it is equipped with two automatic standard sorting stackers inside the machine frame, with an optional third automatic sorting stacker. Two separate air pressures are designed for thicker and thinner linen.

The VEGA MULTIFOLD SUPER 2.2 is a high quality full-dry folder. It makes all lateral folds with mechanical knives to handle thick terry and heavy, full-dry products, and all cross-folds are performed by reverse belt folding technology. With a processing capability up to 86-inches long, MULTIFOLD SUPER is available with three or four automatic sorting stackers, thereby eliminating the need to pre-sort full-dry items by size. All finished stacks are either directed to an operator or ready for automatic transfer to a take-away conveyor.

The VEGA MULTIFOLD 4S is a towel folder, sorter, and automatic stacker that many commercial laundries prefer. It handles a variety of towel sizes, can be configured for different folding needs, and performs lateral folds with air knives and all cross-folds using belt reverse folding technology. Like the MULTIFOLD SUPER, it can handle items up to 86-inches long with automatic sorting up to four sizes. It can also be configured for manual or automatic transfer of stacked goods.

Don’t miss the Hall of Fame ceremony

A reminder that all Clean Show attendees are invited to watch the inaugural class of LAVATEC’s Hall of Fame be inducted. The 30-minute ceremony will take place in booth 1303 on Sunday, August 24 at 3 p.m.

About Lavatec Laundry Technology, Inc.

Delivering dependable commercial laundry equipment engineered for higher returns throughout their lifecycles has been the Lavatec Laundry Technology mantra for over four decades. Some LAVATEC manufactured equipment has been on the job for more than a quarter century. A rarity among manufacturers of continuous tunnel washers, LAVATEC offers center transfer, bottom transfer and standing bath construction options, plus a full range of readily integrated, end-to-end laundry system components: washer extractors, extraction presses, centrifuges, dryers, conveyor systems, pickers, feeders, ironers and folders. Simple design, durable construction, user-friendly operation and low maintenance are hallmarks of LAVATEC machines. A global leader with equipment in laundry operations throughout Europe, the Far East, South and North America, more than 8,000 LAVATEC machines have been installed in the United States alone.

Beacon Falls, CT. – June 20, 2024 – Long before ‘German engineering’ became a popular catchphrase in North American advertising lore, Coburger Handtuch & Matten Service was planning a future with it in mind. The family owned and operated business in central Germany will soon mark its 70th anniversary in October. And as a key regional service provider of towel dispensers, mops and dirt trapping mats, they have established themselves as an innovative and forward-thinking company with a social conscience.

Throughout the years, Coburger – formally known as CHMS GmbH & Co. KG – has embraced its engineering ingenuity. Various design improvements and developments over the years which reduced energy consumption led to them becoming part of a network of German companies dedicated to saving resources and the environment.

Today, after a longtime business relationship with LAVATEC, the company is enjoying the benefits of being the first in the world to install a custom built LAVACascade drying system. By significantly reducing their drying cycle, the three-tiered system with nine dryers overall has dramatically improved efficiency with a 52% gas savings and lowered associated costs.

Generational expertise paves the way to greater success

CHMS is a prominent employer in the town of Rodental, about three miles from its original location in Coburg. Home to about 13,000 residents in Bavaria, the largest state by area in the Federal Republic of Germany, the company moved there in 1990, 36 years after CHMS was founded by Gustav and Gertrud Krause in an old horse stable. Owner Joachim Krause began his career working for his parents in 1970, and he now runs the operation with his son, Fabian, who serves as the managing partner.

“I began working here right after completing my economics studies in September, 2013,” recalled Fabian. “Working at the laundry wasn’t new to me because my sisters and I used to spend a part of our holidays handling cloth-roll towels and floor mats.”

The company managed its laundry operation all under one roof back in 1990, but has since expanded. Their complex now contains three separate buildings totaling about 84,000 square feet of space. Construction is underway on a new picking hall that will provide an additional 8,600 square feet when it opens later this year.

Fabian Krause explained each of the buildings is dedicated to a specific purpose. One is to wash the floor mats, another is to wash the cloth-towel rolls, and the other is used for storage. He says a crew of 50 employees manages the workload during a nine hour shift, five days a week.

“We have about 2,200 customers, some who have been with us for over 30 years. About 2,050 of them are direct customers – a complete mixture of restaurants, every type of business, and public residents – within a 100 mile radius. The other 150 are laundries throughout Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, and The Netherlands, where we do their roll towels and mats,” said Krause, noting that CHMS operates a fleet of six trucks and 15 vans to service their customers.

“The trucks drive over 220,000 miles a year to the laundries, and the vans that are used for the bulk of our customers log over 185,000 miles each year.”

Those vehicles are kept busy as CHMS achieves record levels of throughput. A year before the COVID-19 pandemic began, Krause said they initiated a growth masterplan that included new LAVATEC equipment.

The 2019 purchase of a 10 compartment LT100 tunnel washing system with 220-pound capacity per chamber, coupled with a pair of LX 425 washer extractors with 285-pound capacity and a TT-745 gas dryer with 290-pound capacity, were installed in the mats building. One year later the LAVACascade drying system came online.

The new equipment added firepower to the LAVATEC wash aisle machinery CHMS already had running in the rolls building next door. A 27-year-old, LT50 tunnel with 11 compartments and 110-pound capacity per chamber runs in tandem with a slightly larger 18-year-old, LT50 machine with 12 compartments and 130-pound capacity. Another LX 425 washer extractor is a bit smaller than the other two with 250-pound capacity, but it has produced consistently reliable results since 2013.

“Servicing the rolls division is the largest part of our sales,” said Krause, pointing to a chart showing the company’s growth since 2019. He explained how the rolls volume continues to rise with a 30% increase during this period, and he anticipates the five-year cycle for the mats business to nearly double with similar volume levels by the end of 2024.

“The COVID-19 pandemic did not have a big impact itself on our business. We did have some contracts postponed until 2022,” he admitted, adding the company’s mats division experienced a 49% increase that year.

“Through our investment in the larger LAVATEC tunnel washer, LAVACascade, and with the building expansion in 2020, we had forecast doubling the amount of washed mats from 2019-2023. In the near future, we expect the floor mats business will have a higher growth potential and will overtake the towel rolls side of our operation.”

Equipment that supports Sustainability and reduces environmental impact

The engineering prowess CHMS has displayed through the years was tantamount in the development of their custom built and unique LAVACascade drying system.

They have embraced green methods for a long time, making use of about 4,000 gallons of recaptured rainwater daily for use in the mat washing process. Those efforts are supported by a patented water-recycling filtration system they developed.

In 2004, CHMS unveiled a vapor heat exchanger for their ironer’s exhaust air. The new and patented air circulation system improved performance, resulting in major energy savings.

That development figured strongly into their future plans, but Krause said a University of Nuremburg Technology research study is what triggered his father’s interest. The 2010 report prepared by the German Federal Statistical Office analyzed the total energy consumption of 3,800 laundry and dry-cleaning businesses. It determined 90% of the total energy consumed was used for the heating of water.

What Joachim Krause found interesting was each business had systems to recover or re-use water, but only one had installed a facility to re-use waste heat from laundry dryers. Of the 28 dryers they had, it applied to only four.

Looking at ways to reduce costs and meet new government regulatory mandates to reduce energy and emissions, Joachim Krause reached out and met with Wolf-Peter Graeser. LAVATEC’s Germany-based president co-owns the company with Mark Thrasher, who manages North American operations from U.S. headquarters in Beacon Falls, Conn.

“My father had the idea that led to LAVACascade. He presented it to them since they had a longtime business relationship and Mr. Graeser saw the potential for it,” said Fabian Krause.

The result is an engineering marvel that reduces the overall ecological impact and produces massive energy savings compared to a standard dryer. By lessening the processing time and increasing linen throughput with less wear and tear, it leads to a domino effect of benefits including a reduction in downtime. With less gas needed, the cycle time is 30% faster and substantially lowers CO2 emissions.

The first phase of the three-tiered continuous drying system introduces recirculated high heat to the laundry load by using the exhaust air of the second dryer. Recirculation is easily programable, and when the first phase is completed the dryer tilts for unloading.

The middle stage involves the load traveling on a conveyor belt to the second dryer. When loaded into the machine, heat loss is reduced during the transfer and the dryer remains hot, so no energy is wasted to heat it again. The third dryer is the cooling stage.

“Our LAVACascade is a closed system, which means it doesn’t convert energy for any other uses,” said Krause. “We do have a combined heat and powerplant which produces electricity using natural gas. The resulting heat is used for the tunnel washers of the mats, the washer extractors, the office building, and to melt the snow on the driveway of the mats building in the wintertime.”

Several North American laundry executives and Industry publication editors recently toured the CHMS facility with LAVATEC’s leadership and saw the comprehensive energy control system in action. Krause said continued refinements are paying off, citing 2023 statistics detailing how the amount of kilowatt hours to operate it have dropped consistently month-over-month.

“Our energy management software shows the specific gas consumption of each phase, compared to the gas consumption of the one LAVATEC TT-745 gas dryer we have. LAVACascade saves us 52% compared to the gas consumption of a single dryer where the normal drying time is 25 minutes. LAVACascade’s drying time is just 19 minutes.”

Krause further explained what his statistics revealed and what his goals are for this year.

“The specific gas consumption last year averaged 218 kilowatt hours per ton, compared to 460 kilowatt hours for the TT-745 gas dryer. LAVACascade is meeting our expectations and the goal is to achieve a specific gas consumption averaging 180 kilowatt hours per ton,” he acknowledged.

“Since this machine was the first of its kind, LAVATEC has spent valuable time together with us and our employees during the installation period and since. They are in close contact with us, and we appreciate their cooperation to optimize and enhance the system.”

About Lavatec Laundry Technology, Inc.

Delivering dependable commercial laundry equipment engineered for higher returns throughout their lifecycles has been the Lavatec Laundry Technology mantra for over three decades. Some LAVATEC manufactured equipment has been on the job for more than a quarter century. A rarity among manufacturers of continuous tunnel washers, LAVATEC offers center transfer, bottom transfer and double-drum construction options, plus a full range of readily integrated, end-to-end laundry system components: washer extractors, extraction presses, centrifuges, dryers, conveyor systems, pickers, feeders, ironers and folders. Simple design, durable construction, user-friendly operation and low maintenance are hallmarks of LAVATEC machines. A global leader with equipment in laundry operations throughout Europe, the Far East, South and North America, more than 8,000 LAVATEC machines have been installed in the United States alone. It provides the opportunity to network with professional drycleaners from 10 states, and also allows attendees to learn more about the
company’s products and rich history. The event takes place April 28-30 at the Irving Convention Center in Dallas.

Terry Hammond, Senior Vice President at UNX-Christeyns, enthusiastically expressed his anticipation for the upcoming Cleaners Showcase. “This event is an invaluable opportunity to establish and nurture professional connections. With the gradual resumption
of in-person events post-pandemic, the prospect of engaging with individuals face-to-face again is nothing short of exhilirating,” he said.

“The upcoming opportunity to showcase our company’s philosophy and values will be a vital milestone for those unfamiliar with our brand. Our unwavering passion for the industry and commitment to innovation drives us to continously elevate our products
and services. Our integrity and mission are inextricably linked, and our dedication to putting customers’ needs first sets us apart from our competitors. We look forward to sharing our story and leaving a lasting impression on all attendees.”

Hammond believes the enduring success of the UNX-Christeyns Cole & Wilson brand has proven to be an undeniable asset to dry cleaners located in the Southern region from Nevada to Mississippi. The brand’s unwavering commitment to delivering tangible
benefits to its clients is the driving force behind its continued growth and acclaim. He said the company takes great pride in the brand’s success and is thrilled to have the opportunity to continue delivering exceptional value to loyal customers.

“As a testament to our unwavering commitment to excellence, our distribution network in the Southern region has consistently remained a cornerstone of our success,” he explained. “Our real time inventory management ensures our customers are assured of
timely and efficient service. The UNX-Christeyns Cole & Wilson brand is widely regarded as a preferred choice by our loyal customer base, and for good reason. Our products are unrivaled in quality and performance, making us the top destination
for dry and wet cleaning solutions. We take great pride in this achievement and remain steadfast in our pursuit of delivering the very best to our valued customers.”

The UNX-Christeyns Cole & Wilson branded SULTRA line is one of the solutions that will be showcased. These high performance dry cleaning offerings include SULTRASOFT detergents that produce exceptional brightness and a fresh scent while removing water-soluble
soils. A spotting chart in the booth will explain how SULTRASPOT is an excellent line of spotting agents for dry and wet cleaning.

Greg Toombs, the Sales Director for UNX-Christeyns who is based in Dallas, said SULTRASPOT’s advantages extend beyond removing basic soils such as paint, oil and grease, as well as ink, protein and tannin stains.

“The SULTRA product line is ideal for fine washable and dry cleanable textiles, and that is why so many of our dry cleaning and shirt laundry customers have used it since it has been available in the U.S. It is very effective, easy to use, and doesn’t
require a lot of re-cleaning, so it saves time and labor costs,” he explained. “These are Prop 65 compliant products with no volatile compounds in the spotting agents. Newer challenges, such as gel pen ink, are some of the hardest stains to remove.
Many other products can’t remove those types of stains, but the SULTRASPOT line is successful in this area.”

Toombs invites all Cleaners Showcase attendees to visit booth 536 to learn more about the advantages they might be missing out on.

“The bottom line is our dry/wet cleaning solutions are designed with the customer in mind. We can provide you with exceptional products and services while minimizing the work and maximizing your profit.”

About UNX-Christeyns
Based in North Carolina, the partnership of UNX and Christeyns brings together more than 100 years of experience in the textile care industry. Specializing in commercial quality cleaning chemicals for the laundry,

Supplier experience and relationship strengthens customer value for Rental Uniform Service

Now in its 74th year of operation, Rental Uniform Service has reached this point by making deft and correct decisions time after time. One of its recent pivotal moves was selecting
UNX-Christeyns to return as its washroom chemistry partner, a decision that has produced significant benefits in a short window of time.

“We began a review of our wash chemistry situation in late 2021, did extensive research and narrowed it down to two companies that we met with personally,” recalled Danny Lawrence, the longtime CEO for Rental Uniform Service. “it was remarkable that cost-wise, there was not much difference between the two.
New LAVATEC Extraction Press makes Huge Impression at The Clean Show

LAVATEC unveiled new energy efficient equipment at The Clean Show in Atlanta, and the response from attendees during and after the show has been overwhelmingly positive. Company president Mark Thrasher says reactions to the LAVACascade drying system were highly favorable, and interest in the massive LAVAPress ULTRA 597S 60-bar extraction press exceeded expectations.

“I thought it was a fantastic turnout, especially the crowds over the weekend and on Monday. The majority of the time, we had people inspecting the new equipment and our popular tunnel washers and dryers,” he said.

“The people who expressed interest in LAVACascade and ULTRA asked the right questions. We also sold half of the equipment in our booth. To me, it means we are on the right track by designing machines that focus on energy conservation and maximize plant efficiency to meet today’s and future needs.”

The 16-foot tall, 28-ton ULTRA extraction press made quite an impression. Unlike anything else in the marketplace, it places an emphasis on improving workflow and conserving water resources by processing more linen with up to 265-pound loads, while using up to 60-bars of pressure. The press also has the capability to reduce cycle time by as much as 50% before moving to a dryer.

“Our team spent a good portion of time showing and explaining how heated water leaves the oil cooling system so it can be recycled into the tunnel wash system. That tells me those people had done their homework in advance,” said Thrasher. “When they saw the stainless steel drainage plate under the conveyor belt, they had a better understanding how it increases extra water removal before the load travels to the dryer. Recouping that wastewater is a huge benefit for additional savings.”

Booth visitors got their first look at a simulation of the three-tier LAVACascade drying system. It offers significant environmental and productivity benefits, led by a unique waste heat recovery system that results in energy savings up to 70% when compared to a standard dryer.

“Recovering waste heat is part of the domino effect with this machine,” explained Thrasher. “First, it reduces your processing time. Linen throughput is increased with less wear and tear, and you will also experience reduced downtime. Since less gas is needed when you decrease the cycle time by 30%, the amount of CO2 emissions is significantly lowered.”

Customers from California and Colorado were in the booth inspecting their new equipment. Officials with Emerald Textiles and a hotel property invested in tunnel wash systems that will be installed by the end of the year.

Jim Slatcher, LAVATEC’s western regional sales manager, confirmed Emerald Textiles selected a LT100, 12-compartment tunnel washer with 220-pound capacity for their facility in Colton, Calif. It is similar to the one they placed in their plant in Commerce, Calif., that has been in operation since October 2021. He indicated a new LT60 10-compartment bottom transfer tunnel washer is expected to begin installation at the hotel in early October.

“In addition to the tunnel washer, that customer also purchased separate loading and discharge conveyors, an LP572 extraction press and a rail modification system,” said Slatcher. “In December they will install three of our TT746 gas dryers, each with 292-pound capacity.”

“We left Atlanta with a lot of leads and the pace hasn’t really slowed. We’ve had many advanced discussions with prospects and are hopeful that some will come to fruition later this year.”

Girbau Industrial’s live product demos and new intros draw crowds at ‘Clean ’22’

During “Clean ’22,” Girbau North America (GNA) showcased the company’s vast product offering of commercial and industrial laundry equipment and solutions. Drawing crowds were live demonstrations of Girbau Industrial® (GI) ironing systems, including the Compact Pro – an all-in-on feeder, dryer, ironer, folder and stacker; a new DRC cornerless feeder and the DRE high-speed clip feeder; and the new GI FTQ Drywork and Garment Folder. Several
end-user promotions and new and innovative custom finance options were also introduced.

A Friday evening reception and presentations for distributors and special guests kicked off the show, according to President Mike Floyd. Attendees enjoyed first glimpses of new laundry systems and the introduction of Girbau Global Laundry Solutions’ (Girbau) three pillars – customer proximity, one team and innovation and sustainability. “The entire show was a combined effort of our talented GNA and Girbau teams from across the world,” said Floyd.

GNA Vice President of Sales Joel Jorgensen agreed. “The show allowed us to provide live demonstrations of our washers, feeders, folders, ironing systems and control systems to an array of people from different industries, including hospitality, commercial laundry, party rental and healthcare,” said Jorgensen. “Our GI and Continental Girbau (Continental) products are known for producing exceptional quality in folding and finishing, and we enjoyed showing that off to potential buyers first-hand.”

The products showcased as part of the GI brand offering included the 140-pound capacity ST1302 Dryer with vacuum loading, which works as a stand-alone dryer or as part of a continuous batch washing system (tunnel); the DRC Cornerless Feeder, which precisely feeds a variety of items – king and queen sheets, healthcare flats and draws, and food and beverage square and rectangle tabletops – into any model corresponding ironer at industry-best throughput production rates; the DRE High-Speed Clip Feeder, which precisely feeds healthcare and hospitality linens at high-speed throughput production rates, and transitions to feed small pieces; the new FTQ Drywork & Garmenet Folder, which automatically folds drywork items of different dimensions one after the other, including towels, bathmats, washcloths and blankets and tremendously successful 5-in-One Compact Pro.

GNA’s presence at the show also focused on transitioning to the next level of laundry processing, according to Jorgensen. “We focused on how to overcome workforce challenges and grow in efficiency and throughput through production automation,” he said.

GNA boasts the world’s most comprehensive offering of commercial, industrial and vended laundry solutions, with brands including Continental Girbau®, Girbau Industrial®, Sports Laundry Systems®, Poseidon Textile Care Systems®, Express Laundry Centers® and OnePress®.

B&C Technologies Introduces an Innovative New Line of Washer-Extractors

B&C Technologies, based out of Panama City Beach, Florida, premiered their newest line of machines at the Clean Show in Atlanta, Georgia. B&C has been providing a complete line of commercial and industrial washers, dryers, ironers, folders, and feeders for over 20 years and they’ve recently expanded their offerings to vended equipment and a new line of high extract 400G hardmount washer-extractors.

The on-premise HX Series features our versatile and venerable FM7 control which is capable of handling any custom wash program requirement. The CARB bearings are housed in a cast iron trunnion, with the seals physically separated from the bearing housing meaning that the wash solution cannot enter the bearings and cause premature failure. A solidly welded powder coated steel frame ably transfers extract forces to the foundation.

The vended HX Series features our all new simple control, which interacts with our line of Münzprüfer acceptors. Three different versions of coin acceptors are available that can be used with a wide variety of coins. These meters also accept wireless payments though a smartphone app as well as an exclusive card system.

Al Adcock, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, says “After working for the Bruce and Cowen families for over 30 years, we’ve finally created a true game changer for our industry. The innovative design is capable of extremely long life with minimal maintenance and will be surprisingly affordable.”

About B&C Technologies:

B&C initially entered the market in 2001 with a line of machines designed by long time industry expert Bengt Bruce and his handpicked engineering team. The Cowen family, previous owners of UniMac, was soon on board and this partnership produced a line of machines designed to be long lasting while keeping maintenance and repair costs down. For the past 21+ years those machines have withstood the most rigorous applications.
